Thank you for checking out our new website. This blog is the spot where I, Emily Creteau, will share with you many things including the most up-to-date happenings in the areas of education, literacy, and speech-language pathology. You might find a link to a local event you could enjoy with your child or a list of 5 ways to improve language skills at home. This is also a space where I can answer some frequently asked questions related to speech-language pathology, reading, math, education, or Hyperion Language Learning Services in general. Really the list of options for what might fill this space is endless!
Anyway- I thought I would start with an informal "get to know Emily" post.
1. First and foremost I am speech-language pathologist providing services at HLLS working alongside our educators to help student's succeed academically.
2. My husband and I live in Eliot, Maine with our dog, Prescott, in the house that was once my paternal Grandparents.
3. I have a true passion for reading and generally have at least 3 books going at any given time. My favorite book is "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith.
4. Language really fascinates me. I mean- why do we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway?
Ok well enough about me for now. I would love to get to know you a little bit better. Please comment below and let me know what your (or your child's) favorite book is!
